VP of Fundraising
Penny Wars for Bags of Fun
This week, Belleview Student Council will be helping Cherry Creek High School raise money for Bags of Fun. Bags of Fun is a local charity that delivers “Bags of Fun” to children in hospitals who are receiving treatment for long periods of time. The average bag costs $40. Cherry Creek is hoping to raise $20,000 (Twenty THOUSAND dollars) for Bags of Fun?
That is where YOU come in. Next week, on Monday through Thursday (March 5-8) we will be conducting PENNY WARS. The idea is that you put coins in YOUR GRADE’s bucket, and DOLLARS in the OTHER GRADE’s bucket. The grade who raises the most money (has the most points) will get prizes from CCHS and Bags of Fun!
Then, on Friday, we will celebrate with a HAT DAY! It is optional, and costs nothing! We will just celebrate a great week of fundraising for a good cause!

Belleview needs coaches! Would you like to coach? Any parent, teacher, community member can be a coach! No need to be a runner, just an enthusiastic leader! We need 3-4 coach volunteers to support our Belleview girls! We have no coach volunteers yet … without coaches, we cannot have a spring team. Coaches receive a 50% discount on team fee for their runner. Do you have questions? Ask Kathy Wilcox, firstname.lastname@example.org

A special thank you to Belleview’s own Wahdan family. They generously provided a delicious dinner for our teachers during conference week from their restaurant Jerusalem.
